Painted Nordic Room with Integrated Nordic Snug

Our client in Surrey had a vision of a grey garden room. As we specialise in bespoke we decided to use a different cladding to Siberian larch that was more suitable for painting. Larch can easily be stained but not painted in opaque colours. We use Accoya Wood here. Accoya is the world’s leading high technology wood. Created from sustainably sourced softwood; it matches or exceeds the durability, stability and beauty of the very best tropical hardwoods. The hardness of the timber makes it less susceptible to denting or damage, and therefore increases the likelihood of maintaining the paint coating in the long-term. This, in turn, improves the longevity of the cladding. The Nordic Room was to be used as a recreational room, with a gym and pool table. Adding a Nordic Snug nug to the side creates the perfect place for alfresco dining.

Internally this Nordic Room is finished with our environmentally friendly wall panels and a beautiful real wood floor.
