How we build our bespoke garden studios near Shepperton (KT12)
All our timber frame buildings are designed around our customer’s unique needs. From pool changing rooms or yoga studios to summer houses and garden offices, there are no limits when it comes to thinking about your dream garden studio. See an example of a multi-purpose garden room.
We use 5 inch C24 graded timber sourced from sustainably-grown Scandinavian forests for the exterior frame. This is perfect for load-bearing structures and the highest quality softwood.
We also use the following materials:
- External cladding with spruce tongue and groove timber (either in a ‘D’ shape or flat profile)
- Pre-coloured Smartpanel on internal walls and ceilings
- 2nd generation laminate or engineered wood for flooring
- 25mm Kingspan (filled with 100mm rock-wool slabs) acting as a cold bridge between timber frame and internal cladding
- 12mm chipboard bracing and damp course and breathing membranes
- A-rated double or triple glazed windows, manufactured in Denmark

You can work off one of our plans for our Nordic Rooms or create a completely bespoke design, with the help of our architects who will design technical drawings for a precision build. Most of our timber cabins can be built within permitted developments, but if you need it, we will help you obtain planning permission
